Welcome Aboard the USS Columbia!

"To him that watches, everything is revealed."

The terrible war that waged between the Federation and the Dominion has ended.  The wounds that were torn open by bloodshed have just now finally begun to heal.  The destruction of this war that had spread throughout two galactic quadrants has nearly been cleaned up.  However, many socio-political tensions still exist between the galactic powers. Finally, Starfleet has been able to reallocate resources into its primary missions: exploring strange new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilizations, and boldly going where no being has gone before!

The U.S.S. Columbia is the prototype of her class, a Columbia-Class vessel.  She has been assigned as the forward scout vessel of Project Jumpgate, a Starfleet project which takes the Columbia deep into the Cygnus Arm of the Beta Quadrant.
